A construction worker in Fort Worth, Texas was seriously injured when he fell approximately 30 feet from the roof of the Kimbell Art Museum.  According to a spokesman for the Fort Worth Fire Department said that the construction worker may have fallen through a sky light. This construction injury comes on the heels of another fatal construction accident at the Kimbell. In August, a construction worker was fatally injured after falling about 15 feet from a ladder onto his head at the Kimbell.

These accidents highlight the dangerous conditions that construction workers face in Texas. On the job injury rates are much higher on construction sites than on any other job. There is a higher risk of injury due to the nature of the work involved.  In some injury cases involving construction accidents, the construction worker may only be able to collect workers’ compensation benefits.
