RealPage, Inc. Sued for Alleged Overtime Violations

An employee of RealPage, Inc. has filed a lawsuit against the company, alleging violations of federal overtime laws. The plaintiff’s primary job duties involved data entry. According to the complaint, the plaintiff consistently worked more than 40 hours per week—often between 60 and 80 hours, and sometimes more, depending on the workload.

Despite these long hours, the plaintiff and others in similar data entry positions at RealPage were paid on a salary basis and did not receive any overtime compensation. The lawsuit claims that these employees were denied overtime pay in violation of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).

The suit was filed as a collective action, meaning other current or former data entry employees of RealPage whose job duties included data entry and were paid a salary without overtime may be eligible to join. To participate in the lawsuit, individuals must affirmatively opt-in by signing a consent form, which can be obtained from the plaintiff’s attorney, Josh Borsellino.
